Hello Everyone!

Today, we started parametric modelling of honey bee project in freecad. So firstly we created spreadsheet on which we specified the length and the width of bottom part. And then we created a sketch to give parametric dimensions by using spreadsheet and then we gave structure property to the sketch and we changed the height from data.And similarly we specified the length and width of the sides of trap and then similarly we created the sketch and gave structure property and then we changed the height from data. Our next step was to cut the sides so that cover can fit into the sides. So we created three rectangles that can cut the sides but it was not an easy task , in arch workbench we tried to remove the component but we failed.

Today Dr. H.S. Rai sir gave us task on 3 d modelling of Honey bee trap in freecad and our co trainer need to prepare 2D Drawings in autocad and sir introduced to us new technique of 3D modelling ie Parametric modelling using spreadsheet.So first step is measure the trap accurately with the help of scale and vernier caliper for more accuracy and also we searched for tutorials on parametric modelling.

One of our co-trainer introduced us to sketcher workbench in Freecad. It seems quite interesting so me and my co-trainer Gaganpreet Kaur decided to explore it so we followed Eklavya self learning tutorials( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyhRc1z616E&list=PL1Fv0Kg44dc3oWoFMEBXT5xjvk9AsWnLW ) So firstly we created our rectangle sketch and then gave structure and then i gave ifc role= slab.

Then by using polyline in sketcher workbench the shape of walls was made by choosing slab upper base as working plane and values were given to make sketch fully constraint.

Then the fully constaint sketch was changed to wall by selecting wall in arch workbench and height was changed accordingly.

Then in arch workbench doors and windows were placed accordingly by giving height and width and then in sketcher workbench enterior walls sketch was made and then walls are made.

Then by selecting upper part of wall as working plane, sketch for roof slab was made and then i gave structure property from arch workbench and then ifc role=slab and then i added colours.

Today, CSE students delievered seminar on  Valedictory Function and Bim Interface and they also discussed about GIT.

Today, I was writing my octave programme on design of stair slab.

I started with writing the calculation of the area provided and my next and last step was check for deflection. I faced difficulty in permissible deflection, I searched and figured out that permissible deflection= 20*kc*kt*kf and i was successful in applying check for deflection.

Today, I was writing my octave programme after finding the value of z, I wrote calculation of loads of inclined portions. It was quite lengthy so i divided it into two parts and i was successful in finding the value. Then I wrote calculation of moments. My next step was to calculate the area required, in this tension steel area perimeter was taken from table for that interpolation 1 for that value.

Today, I started writing my code on design of stair slab ques no.6 of https://hsrai.gdy.club/hrb/DA/PDF/DA.pdf . It was quite easy to start as firstly we need to calculate depth and then loads in the flat portion. I faced some errors due to brackets. And my next step is to find z by using cos(a) and tan(a), so i searched how to write them in octave. I saw some programmes on that and at the end of the day, I was able to calculate the value of z.

Today, I tried to upload my chart 2.1 of https://hsrai.gdy.club/hrb/DA/PDF/DA.pdf. My co-trainee Gurinder Singh told me to how to get values from the chart. With his help I was able to write values from the chart in matrix type. The format of uploading table is firstly write the name of table then type,then rows,then columns and the table values.

Today,I started my octave programme on design of stair slab.

So, my first step is to give input and I started giving all the inputs that are given in my question. The format for loading input is firstly one have to gave name and then type and give the given value.

I also faced one problem while loading inputs as I haven’t gave space at the end. Then my friend told me for space at the end and I was able load inputs.
